I would like to dedicate this post to my Aunt Daphne who passed way on the 1st of August 2014, she was lovely lady who enjoyed life and found her soul mate in Bill they both loved Achill and spent many happy holiday’s there.

They are looking at a Leatherback turtle on Purteen pier, Leatherbacks are a rare species and seldom seen in Irish waters, the picture was taken in 1959.
